Overall, the Hotel Lumen is rated Above Average by most guests. The hotel prides itself on style and of course the caring staff that works there. Probably, the most positive ratings come from the hard work of the staff and friendliness. The Lumen Hotel is convenient for those who need to be close to SMU, and Dallas Uptown. Guests enjoy the fact that they can walk across the street and be on the SMU campus. The Front Room, the hotel restaurant is popular with guests and has long been a popular place with locals as well.
Cons:
While reading through the TripAdvisor Reviews, you also see a number of guests discussing some issues they had. While some of the negatives might be due to a personal preference others have to do with something not working exactly right. Mentioned more than once is the slow elevator.
