It is really hard to find true 5 Star Hotels in Dallas. However, in reality, there are only a select few that make such high marks. They are located in the very upscale area of Oak Lawn offering luxury amenities you would expect to find at only 5 star hotel and resort property.
5 Star Luxury
The community of Oak Lawn is known for luxury and provides a great setting for 5 Star Hotels in Dallas, Tx. You will find high-rises there including lofts and upscale, walkable neighborhoods, shopping and dining. The diverse neighborhood is a favorite among the locals. Did you know that Oak Lawn is also known for Dallas’ first golf course all the way back in 1896?
Which Hotels in Dallas are Five Star?
This Grand Hotel is known for its spa because it’s HUGE. There are 12 spa treatment rooms there with soaking tubs. Along with the steam rooms and full service salon, this property offers fantastic pampering services. The Deluxe, Junior Suite, and Corner King in-room soaking tubs are relaxing as well. The hotel is completely non-smoking with enough restaurants so you don’t have to leave the site, if you choose to do so. However, there are also plenty of off-site dining options around the hotel. If you stay on the seventh floor (known as the Club Level) you will find concierge service as well as complimentary food and beverage service.
The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek
Offering a more historical charm, this property was actually constructed back in the 1920s. Did you know this Europe-inspired location once welcomed President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Tennessee Williams? This mansion has obviously been restored to a more modern design but the custom artwork is pretty amazing. The property has definitely kept the reflections of what the Mansion was originally known for. Speaking of restorations, you will love the hand-carved fireplaces and marble floors. These interesting facts combined with amenities such as the health and fitness studio along with fine-dining at the lantern-lit restaurant terrace promises luxury at its finest. You will find soaking tubs in the Premier Room, Executive Suite, and the Terrace Suite.
Vistor Impressions
The reviews on both of these properties are near perfect reviews. They both are best suited for those looking for sheer luxury 5 Star Hotels in Dallas. According to most people, the service is truly 5 star and the service is positively indescribable. And, quite honestly, they should be perfect if they are going to be categorized as Dallas 5 Star Hotels.
That said being said, you can’t really choose a bad room. The sedan service, within a few mile radius, at both locations is a plus.
Things to Consider
Though guests enjoyed the fine dining and most amenities, it was noted that the Ritz’s fitness center (although nice) was not as large as one would expect. Other guests staying there noted that the club level rooms are most definitely worth the splurge.
Guests staying at the Rosewood Mansion commented on how nice it was to have extra light in the Corner Deluxe Rooms but that the Patio Deluxe Rooms have smaller bathrooms. The pool is beautiful and serene here which is extra special if staying in a first-level, poolside room because you can simply walk right out to the pool area (you may have to book this room type months in advance).
