Pros:
Driving up to the Magnolia Hotel, you see that this is a building that stands out among the others around. Great location, across from the AT& T Multimedia center and not far from the convention center, this location is tough to beat. The history of the building really shines through. The staff is mentioned by many to be friendly and helpful. Also, the rooms are very large compared to many standard hotel rooms.
Cons:
Be sure to read all of the latest reviews when booking any hotel. Some of the guests mention that the Magnolia could use some updating. Also, if you have any fear of heights, be sure to ask for a lower floor. At 29 stories high, you have some great views but can be scary for those who don't like to be that high. While some guests had a good experience with the staff, others show up on average to be negative about some of the staff.
