The Lake Ray Hubbard Community offers yearly Heart of Jazz Wine Tasting, a museum featuring the history of Rockwall and full of historical artifacts such as furniture and stoves from the 1900’s (Free Admission and let’s not forget an 18 hole golf course (one of the best in North Texas). Other community events include plays, bands and orchestras.
If you are into wine and beer tastings, you might consider the Woodcreek Brewing Company or San Martino Winery and Vineyards. There used to be a place called KE Cellars Winery but they are no longer in business, as of March 2016.

Zanata is the top restaurant overall, but expect to wait at least 30 minutes to get in on the weekend. They have anywhere from Pizza to Steak Diane. They serve a bread basket with red pepper spread that everyone just raves about. It’s an overall great atmosphere in downtown Rockwall.
Gloria’s Latin Cuisine has, you guessed it, Latin food with perfect alfresco dining and ambiance. Guests are talking about the “best margaritas you’ll find in the DFW area.
Other contenders are Saltgrass Steak House, Bin 303 serving Shrimp, Grits, Crème Brulee, Steak and Port among other things. Luigi’s Italian Café is great Italian fare for lunch. The business casual Oar House serves American dishes with an Italian flare. Bootsburger is a hole in the wall restaurant serving delicious burgers however there is no place to eat there and they only serve chips. You can also get hamburgers from Joe Willy’s. Not only do they serve frieds but you can get shakes and Blue Bell ice cream. Z’s Catfish serves home cooked favorites such as Collard Greens, Catfish, Red Beans and Rice, Cornbread and Banana Pudding. There are other things on the menu, but you get the picture. Last but not least there is the Chiloso Mexican Bistro with high quality Mexican food. A lot of people love the fact that you can eat a quick lunch here.
